A romantic walk requires hand-holding, but wait a minute - you both have gloves on. Gloves holding gloves—that's no fun. As we all know, true romance requires skin-to-skin contact. Suddenly, your winter wonderland romantic walk has been ruined.

Don’t fret, my love muffin. You need some Smittens. No, that’s not a typo. It's Smittens, as in mittens built for two who are actually "smitten". Why not? There are two-seated bicycles and love seats, so why not Smittens? Feel the love.

How it all began:

Inventor Wendy Feller conjured up this lovely idea after many years in the clothing design business. One cold and blustery day, she was strolling with her husband, Allan. The cold did not stop them from holding hands, but with their hands trapped inside mittens, it felt very awkward. "Why can't we hold hands inside the mittens?" Wendy asked her husband. It was at that magic moment that Smittens was born (actually reborn, because Wendy had had this idea years before but never followed through).

First, Wendy tried a prototype with one opening for both hands. That was mitten mayhem. Then she came up with the idea of trying two openings. The second opening made all the difference. Holding hands in the winter would never be the same. She made them with polar fleece material and sent some homemade samples to magazines, which featured the product. Love triumphs again.

Basic: Looking for the simplest Smittens style? This Basic Style is it. One set of of Basic Style Smittens includes two regular sized mittens that are worn on the outside hands, and one Smitten for hand-holding. There is no adornment of any kind on this style.

Cuff: Looking for a set of Smitens with a dash of coziness? The Cuff Style suits you best. One set of of Cuff Style Smittens includes two regular sized mittens that are worn on the outside hands, and one oversized Smitten for handholding.
