Rheem model 106 (model 014797, model P-M106A-AN-C, M106A)
105K BTU Natural Gas, Above Ground Pool/Spa Heater
The Rheem model P-M106A-AN-C (also known as M106A, P-M106A-A, model 106) natural gas swimming pool heater has the best features in a small pool heater.
Durable cabinet painting process gives superior rust prevention and years of durable service
The Rheem 106 heater's housing feaures the PolyTuf Textured Powder Coating, which is a special type of polyester paint that shields the metal cabinet from corrosion. It's more durable than solvent-based and water-based paint. The metal housing surfaces are prepared with a 7-stage wash process. This ensures the paint has the strongest possible bond to the galvanized metal.
This model 106 heater is designed to naturally draft even in windy outdoor installation areas, thanks to its exclusive low-profile design. The smartly engineered design eliminates the need for fans typically used in pool heaters prevent the drafting problems. Wind, downdrafts, updrafts, rain, sleet, snow, wind-driven debris such as leaves, etc., won't stop the pool water heating by this heater.
This special material prevents rust stains from harming your pool or spa’s surface. This lowers your pool maintenance cost and time.
All-Copper-Fin-Tube Heat Exchanger
Each of the heat exchanger's fin-lined tubes are made from a single piece of extruded copper. This integral fin design provides the maximum heat transfer. The Rheem model 106 also has thick-gauge stainless steel tube which further increases durability and corrosion resistance.
The 106 has a easy and quick-use analog dial. The electronic ignition system is powered by a 120VAC, 3 foot, 3 prong power cord. If 240V power is needed, the power cord can be removed and the voltage transformer easily rewired for 240V.
2” Water Connections
Includes a set of 2" flange connections, making installation secure and fast.
The Rheem 106 includes a built-in water bypass, which allows for a range of flow rates, without having to adjust the GPM rates manually. The bypass also reduces condensation caused by cold water by keeping a constant, engineered flow through the tubes.

Buying and using a pool cover is strongly recommended
A pool loses heat from evaporative cooling. That's the cooling effect when water evaporates from the surface of the pool. It accounts for about 75% of a pool’s heat loss. And, a pool cover can reduce the heat lost from a pool by approximately 50%, and directly translates into a 50% reduction in your power consumption. That's a dramatic savings in your fuel bill.
In addition to lowering your energy bill, a pool cover will provide a valuable safety by preventing people from falling in accidentally, conserving chemicals, and reducing the load on filter systems by preventing debris from entering the pool.
Return Policy: At Rheem's option, defective product may be repaired on site or replaced with a new shipment. In case of freight damage, the buyer is responsible to file claim with the freight company.
